Defensive Pistol/Tac Med Course May 9th (Eagle Creek, OR) 9am-5pm $235.00
The Defensive Pistol / TacMed Training Course by NW Firearms & Tactics is designed to build a solid foundation in both personal defense shooting and life-saving medical skills. This course is ideal for responsibly armed citizens looking to develop practical, real-world capabilities.
On the defensive pistol side, students will be introduced to the core principles of personal defense. Instruction includes drawing from concealed carry, safe and efficient firearm handling, and developing accuracy under pressure. The course also covers critical topics such as use-of-force considerations, legal awareness, proper shot placement, and an introduction to close-quarters shooting techniques.
The TacMed portion focuses on immediate trauma care in high-stress situations. Students will learn how to identify and manage major injuries, including severe punctures and lacerations. The course also provides guidance on selecting an effective Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK), understanding its components, and properly using life-saving tools such as tourniquets, pressure dressings, and other essential medical gear.
By combining defensive firearms training with practical medical response skills, this course prepares students not only to respond to threats—but also to render aid when it matters most.
This course is not a first aid/cpr course, we recommend you taking one before this course but it’s not required.
